Setting up Simple Voice Chat

Prerequisites

• • An XD's Cloud account
• • Access to your server's file manager or console
• • Sufficient resources allocated to your plan

Step 1: Download Simple Voice Chat

1. Visit the CurseForge or Modrinth website
2. Search for "Simple Voice Chat" mod or plugin
3. Download the version compatible with your server type (Fabric, Forge, Paper, Spigot, etc.)
4. Save the downloaded .jar file to your computer

Step 2: Install Mod/Plugin

1. Navigate to your server's files tab in XD's Cloud
2. For modded servers: Upload the .jar file to the mods folder
3. For plugin servers: Upload the .jar file to the plugins folder
4. If the folder doesn't exist, create it before uploading

Step 3: Configure Port

Edit your xds-cloud.properties file and add port 24454 for Simple Voice Chat:

ports=25565,24454

This adds the voice chat communication port alongside your main server port.

Step 4: Restart Container

1. Go to your XD's Cloud dashboard and select your server instance
2. Click the "Restart" button to restart the entire container
3. Wait for the container to fully boot (check the console for startup messages)
4. Simple Voice Chat should now be loaded and active on port 24454
